Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Sales Business Development professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within the industrial. The primary focus of the role will be to generate new sales leads, build relationships with prospective clients, and ultimately close deals.

You’ll fill your schedule each week with meeting key decision makers at major industrial facilities (cement plants, oil refineries, power plants, chemical plants, large food & beverage installations, etc – anything with high heat, corrosion, or pressure). You’ll get in front of them, walk the plants, find and indicate potential problems to the customer, and turn those problems into opportunities to quote. When you find opportunities, you’ll bring all the data to our engineering team, and they’ll engineer and price out a solution for you to offer to the customer. You don’t have to do your own quotes; your time is better used selling.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the industrial sector
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients
  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve targets
  • Generate and follow up on leads, and convert them into sales
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and stay up-to-date on industry trends
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other networking events
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop solutions for clients
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to prospective clients
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals

Requirements:

  • Home office setup
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Knowledge of the industrial sector, including key players and market trends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel 60%

This position requires travel. If you're based in L.A. you'll need to be in the major refining-hubs of CA (SF Bay, L.A., and S.D.) at least once a month, as well as in Phoenix, Las Vegas, Reno, the Mojave Desert, and Northern CA.
